If you are a Microsoft Internet Explorer user, please follow the following steps in order to view Mandarin text with your browser ...

1.
In Internet Explorer select the VIEW menu
2. Point to ENCODING and then make sure that AUTO-SELECT has a check mark next to it (if not, click it). If you are prompted to download language support click on Download and follow the instructions.

If Auto-Select cannot for some reason determine the correct language encoding; go back into the VIEW menu, point to ENCODING, then MORE, and then select CHINESE TRADITIONAL BIG 5 or Unicode UTF8, if you are then prompted to download language support, click on DOWNLOAD and follow the instructions.

If you are a Netscape Navigator user:
from Character Coding on the View menu, you can see which character set or code page is being used to display the current page, and you can then select a specific language (select Traditional Chinese Big 5 and/or Unicode UTF8).
